House of 1000 Corpses is the movie that kicked off Rob Zombie’s film career. Though the film received negative critical reception upon its release, it would go on to spawn a massive cult following and push Zombie towards creating even more intense and brutal horror movies.
Today, House of 1000 Corpses has garnered greater admiration in the pop culture world, and apparently the folks over at Bob’s Burgers are a fan of the horror movie as well.
Posted via his official Instagram account, Rob Zombie has shared a photo of a scene in a recent episode of Bob’s Burgers that involves a nod at that of the cult horror movie. If you look at the blackboard behind that of Bob, it reads “House of 1000 Pork-ses Burger” – which is a not so subtle nod to that of Zombie’s House of 1000 Corpses.
In the caption to his Instagram post, Zombie wrote the following:
“Now this is exciting! A HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES shout on @bobsburgersfox ! Love that show. 👍🏼 Who else loves this show? #bobsburgers #robzombie #houseof1000corpses”
