
You’ve heard of actress Kate Beckinsale listening to Texas hardcore act Kublai Khan, you’ve seen Billie Eilish rep a Rob Zombie shirt, you’re even readying yourself for a possible Ed Sheeran and Dani Filth collab – but did you know that Demi Lovato considers Turnstile their favorite band?
That’s right, the popstar is apparently a – hardcore fan – of Baltimore, Maryland’s hardcore punk outfit, Turnstile. News of this comes from Lovato’s Instagram account where a picture of them with the band was posted on February 26th.

The photo is super wholesome and just goes to show that not every metalhead looks like your stereotypical metalhead. Now we wait and see if we get a Turnstile and Demi Lovato collaboration!
Turnstile formed in 2010, and at the time of this writing, have released three studio albums. The band released a demo in 2010, with an EP titled Pressure to Succeed arriving in 2011. Their debut studio album was 2015’s Nonstop Feeling. Their most recent release is 2021’s Glow On. The band lineup includes: Brady Ebert (lead guitar/backing vocals), Daniel Fang (drums/percussion/programming), Brendan Yates (lead vocals/keyboards/percussion), “Freaky” Franz Lyons (bass/ percussion/backing and lead vocals), and Pat McCrory (rhythm guitar/backing vocals).
Turnstile recently performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, playing their song “Mystery” for the broadcast, and performed the following songs for a separate off-air livestream: “Blackout,” “Don’t Play,” and “Holiday.”

Demi Lovato is a singer-songwriter and actor. They released their debut album, Don’t Forget, in 2008. Their music is a combination of pop, pop rock, and R&B. At the time of this writing, they have released seven studio albums, their latest release being 2021’s Dancing with the Devil… the Art of Starting Over. Lovato’s most recent feature film appearance is Netflix’s Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga.
