Kid Rock loves to play into an edgy persona, the 51-year-old rocker recently declaring that he is “uncancellable” during a new interview. The interview even goes into Rock sharing a story about how he was once asked advice by ex-President Donald Trump regarding North Korea.
Watch out America, here comes the uncancellable American diplomat Kid Rock.
Kid Rock recently appeared on Fox’s Tucker Carlson Tonight, where host Tucker Carlson said that nothing was off the table in their interview. The episode aired this past Monday night, with Carlson asking Rock a variety of questions involving Rock’s music, ex-President Donald Trump, and why the Detroit rocker hasn’t been cancelled.
Prior to the episode airing on Fox, a clip of Rock and Carlson’s interview was posted via Carlson’s Twitter account. The clip shows Carlson asking Rock, “Why haven’t you been canceled?,” to which Rock responds with the following:
“I am uncancellable. I’m not in bed with any big corporate things. At the end of the day, there’s nobody I’m beholden to — no record companies, no corporate interests, no nothing. You can’t cancel me. I love it when they try.”

The interview eventually turned towards that of ex-President Donald Trump and Rock’s relationship with him. Referring Trump’s speaking style, Rock said, “Trump speaks off the cuff, I understand what that’s like, sometimes you get it wrong. “I’ve stood next to him in the White House with the prepared notes and watched him read like one sentence and then it’s like, ‘Let’s go.’ You’re like, this is awesome.”

Among that sentiment, Kid Rock said he liked how Trump does not come off “scripted” or “contrived” like other politicians.
Rock also brought up how, during a time where the two were hanging out together, Trump had asked for the rocker’s opinion on North Korea; during his time in office, Trump had both threatened and met with the leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-un.
Rock talked about how one time he and Trump were once “looking at maps.” He then goes on to say that Trump asked him about North Korea, Trump asking Rock, “What do you think we should do about North Korea?”
To which Rock said, thankfully, “What? I don’t think I’m qualified to answer this.”
What are your thoughts on Kid Rock’s “uncancellable” comment and him possibly throwing in his two-cents when it comes to foreign affairs?
