Some time back, you may remember ex-Cannibal Corpse vocalist Chris Barnes had some stuff to say about Kourtney Kardashian wearing a Cannibal Corpse t shirt. Well, Kardashian’s fiancée, Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker, is now commenting on Barnes’ words.
Back in 2021, a picture was floating around of Barker and Kardashian in public, the latter wearing a Cannibal Corpse t shirt depicting the album artwork of the band’s Eaten Back to Life. Barnes caught wind of this picture, retweeting it and writing “Posers.”

Now, in a recent interview with Revolver, the Blink 182 drummer spoke about Barnes’ infamous comment. The interview Barker is featured in covers some recent work he did with rap-punk act Ho99o9, but at one point, the conversation shifts to that of Kourtney Kardashian wearing the Cannibal Corpse Eaten Back to Life t shirt.
[Revolver]: “IN A VERY ODD WAY, YOUR T-SHIRT COLLECTION — SPECIFICALLY A CANNIBAL CORPSE SHIRT OF YOURS THAT YOUR FIANCÉE WAS PHOTOGRAPHED WEARING — ENDED UP GETTING A LOT OF PRESS LAST YEAR …”
[Travis Barker]: “To speak on that, that’s the lamest shit ever. Obviously my fiancée doesn’t listen to Cannibal Corpse, but I do. I grew up loving them. For [someone] to mention that in a negative light — fucking lame, you know? She’s wearing it because she’s cold. She’s not claiming she knows every song. But I do! I bought every album, and I learned how to play every album.
“I grew up a punk-rock kid, [but] everything with punk rock — ‘I’m more punk than you’ — just fuck all that. Be stoked that people are into music. Music is beautiful! It changes people’s lives. It creates the best memories. Just celebrate it, you know?”
What do you think, does Barker make a valid point? Kourtney Kardashian wearing a Cannibal Corpse shirt isn’t the first time the family has gotten under the skin of metal musicians. There was the time that Kendall Jenner wore a Slayer shirt, which has since provoked Exodus/Slayer guitarist Gary Holt to troll the family.
