One of the greatest relationships in the world is that of heavy metal and horror; the two form a perfect unity together, which is something Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian shows off in a new clip featuring him and the slasher doll Chucky. (Well, maybe it isn’t a perfect union since Chucky guts Ian).

Uploaded via Ian’s Instagram account, the clip features a blown up Ian standing in a room minding his own business. Then, out of the blue, the Anthrax guitarist starts spitting up blood; he collapses, a blade then coming out of Ian’s stomach. We then see the iconic slasher Chucky covered in blood, who then looks to Ian and says, “Now I’m the man!”

In the caption to the video, which you can find below, Ian shares, “Who’s the man now bitch?! Chucky cures my acid reflux forever! Directed by @notherealguy #chucky #braddourif #bloodworks #bloodandguts @tonygardner @alterianinc”

Since 2012, Ian has been the host of Blood & Guts With Scott Ian. Per the show’s IMDb page:

“Celebrating the art and pure awesomeness of monster makeup and gore effects, Scott Ian has teamed up with the Nerdist Channel to bring you ‘Blood and Guts,’ showcasing a behind-the-scenes look at how some of the greatest FX artists of today pull off their amazing work.”

You can check out some videos of Scott Ian’s Bloodworks here.

Given that Ian is a fan of horror movies, it doesn’t surprise us to seem him team up with the killer Chucky – even if things don’t turn out super great for Ian in the end. A new Chucky television show kicked off in 2021. At the time of this writing, there are eight feature films that involve Chucky.

Anthrax was formed in 1981, becoming a foundational pillar in the world of thrash metal. In time, their talents would cement them as one of the Big Four – alongside other major thrash acts MetallicaSlayer, and Megadeth. Anthrax’s most recent record is that of 2016’s For All Kings; a new record may arrive in 2022.
