With their previous LP Ritual released back in 2018, it looks like Max Cavalera‘s Soulfly are starting to share some new music! During a show that took place yesterday (February 14th) at Cornerstone in Berkeley, CA, Soulfly performed a new song titled “Superstition.” They also played another new song called “Filth Upon Filth,” but the band has already played that song prior to this show.
You can watch footage of the two songs below, thanks to the Iron Serbian YouTube channel:
At the time of this writing, Cavalera has said that the band are working on new music; hopefully we’ll be seeing a new record in 2022. In August of 2021, band lead guitarist Marc Rizzo exited Soulfly, stating that the band and management had not helped him through the pandemic. That said, replacing Rizzo on the current Soulfly tour is none other than Fear Factory guitarist Dino Cazares!
