As of today, Rob Zombie has shared another neat tease for what we can expect from his take on The Munsters (which is based off the 1960s family show). News of Rob Zombie’s Munsters movie began in 2021, with Zombie sharing an official photo of the first members of the cast in October. Below you’ll find that photo, which includes Jeff Daniels playing Herman Munster, Zombie’s wife Sheri Moon Zombie playing Lily Munster, and Dan Roebuck playing Grandpa (Lily’s father).

In today’s update, Zombie has shared another big name actor who is in the movie – an actor you may know from the hit television show Lost. Jorge Garcia, who played Hugo “Hurley” Reyes on Lost, will be playing FLOOP in the Rob Zombie Munsters movie!

The news comes from Zombie’s Instagram where he posted a photo of Garcia in his costume on set. In the photo (which you can find below), Zombie shares:

ATTENTION! ☠️ CASTING NEWS! 🦇 Straight from the set of THE MUNSTERS in beautiful downtown Budapest is this exclusive shot JORGE GARCIA as FLOOP – Dr. Wolfgang’s hunchback assistant and Herman Munsters best buddy. 👍🏼 I am sure you all remember Jorge as Hurley from smash hit LOST or perhaps from Hawaii Five-O as Jerry Ortega or from Adam Sandler’s The Ridiculous 6. 🎃 #themunsters #jorgegarcia #robzombie #sherimoonzombie #jeffdanielphillips #danielroebuck #richardbrake #catherineschell #sylvestermccoy

It is awesome to see this movie come together little by little! The Munsters is quite the jump for Rob Zombie in terms of the movies he makes; compared to his other work, The Munsters is REALLY tamed (it sure isn’t like The Devil’s Rejects). We are eagerly keeping an eye out for when a trailer drops and are excited for the chance to finally see this movie.

Have you ever seen The Munsters? If so, what do you think Rob Zombie can bring to such a family friendly property?
