Jackass Forever released earlier this month and it is hilarious (but that isn’t all too surprising). The wild antics and stunts of Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Wee Man, and the rest of the gang have been getting us to bust a gut over the course of 20 years (given that the first Jackass movie came out in 2002).

Jackass has always involved the group taking on an array of gross and dangerous stunts; so dangerous in fact that new research has shown that the cast’s medical bills cost over $23 million. On top of that, Knoxville got brain damage from one of the stunts in the recent movie.

After 20 years of causing havoc on his body, Knoxville is looking to ease up on stunts. This easing up seems to have come out of his recent incident with a bull, where he suffered some serious injuries. While there were more stunts he intended to do after the bull incident, a doctor advised him to not follow through with them.

In a recent interview with NME, Knoxville said, “The doctor’s like, ‘No way, you can’t, you’ve had 16 concussions, you’ve just had a terrible concussion, your brain is scrambled right now.’ And I was like, alright, so those got kicked to the side.”

He also shared this bit of what else he’d like to avoid specifically. “I’m not super fearful of it but I don’t like cold weather or cold water. I’ve done stuff in cold weather and cold water but it’s just a hassle.”

Knoxville also brought up that how Jackass member Steve-O has his own big fear. “The guys do have irrational fears. Steve-O, who will let you put a hook in his mouth, chum up the ocean and then cast him out to sea to catch a shark with his body — you can do that to him, fine — but we tried to get him to bungee jump once for an episode, and he was like, ‘Fuck you dude I’m not doing it.’”
