While Ed Sheeran and Bring Me The Horizon will be releasing a studio version of “Bad Habits” this upcoming Friday, don’t forget that Sheeran could possibly be joining forces with that of Cradle Of Filth vocalist Dani Filth.

In a recent interview that Filth did with Heavy Consequence, he was asked about the potential collaboration between him and the popstar, since rumors about such a collaboration have already been floating around. Pertaining to the subject, Filth said, “Ed’s expressed a desire to be part of a song, and we’re currently looking at some options, and that’s about as far as it’s got. He did invite me up to his house — he doesn’t live very far from me, probably 18 to 20 miles from where I live.”

Filth goes on to say, “The thing that interests me, if we would undertake [the collaboration], the juxtaposition between what we do and what he does. I think it’s a bit of a challenge to undertake.

“I’ve really favored that of late. I’ve done a guest spot with Bring Me the Horizon, The 69 Eyes, and, more recently, Twiztid, as well. And, on each of those occasions, I’ve had people say to me … ‘That’s not going to work. That’s going to be really weird’ … and people saying that means I’ll just do the opposite.”

Regarding his collaboration with Bring Me The Horizon, Filth is referring to their song “Wonderful Life.” But the jump between two acts like Cradle Of Filth and Bring Me The Horizon isn’t as out there as that of Cradle and Ed Sheeran collaborating. Filth has a point there about the great differences between the two; in those differences though, there may lie the potential for something real theatrical. I guess only time will tell if Dani Filth and Ed Sheeran are to release a song together.

Last year, Cradle Of Filth released their 13th studio album, Existence Is Futile.
