In just a little over a week, the beloved Pantera record, Vulgar Display Of Power, is going to turn 30! That is wild as hell folks! As one of the most championed records in heavy metal – by fans and critics alike – Vulgar Display Of Power is an astounding feat of heavy-hitting thrash and groove. We at The Pit adore this record – along with Pantera’s whole discography of course (hell we even dig the glam metal days!) – so we thought we might do something special to celebrate.

Starting this week, and over the course of the following week, we will be premiering brand new remastered music videos of some of Pantera’s most iconic songs off the album. There will be a total of four videos. We also have a few extra surprises for you metalheads along the way.

To kick things off, we have one of Pantera’s most interesting songs off the record (and that’s saying a lot). Without further ado, check out the remastered, 4K music video of Pantera’s “This Love” below:

Damn what a heavy cut. Each verse catches you off guard as Phil Anselmo sings along to the relatively restrained rhythm of the instrumentation; that is until the hook, where the band drastically kick up the volume and Anselmo barks out his lyrics.

For this first installment of our Vulgar Display Of Power celebration, we are excited to share with you an exclusive Q&A video we conducted with none other than Pantera vocalist Phil Anselmo!

Here is our multi-part interview series with Phil Anselmo:

We would like to thank Phil for his time in answering our questions! We hope you enjoyed the “This Love” music video and Phil’s unique insight. We’ll have another special remastered video to share with you Pantera-loving metalheads soon! That said, we still have some other Pantera related goodies to look out for this week, so make sure to stay tuned!

Sound off on our socials and let us know what music video you think may be next, as well as what your favorite song off of Vulgar Display Of Power is.
