Korn Drop Heavy New Single, “Forgotten”

Back in November, nu-metal legends Korn announced their new album Requiem with the release of its first single, “Start the Healing.” Some fans found the new track’s streamlined hard rock sound a little too easy overall. Now, the band have released a follow-up song, “Forgotten,” and for old-school Korn fans, this is more like it.

The obvious difference between “Forgotten” and “Start the Healing” is the drop which kicks this track off and the vocals on the chorus. Both songs see Korn going a little more melodic and sung rather than screamed, but with “Forgotten” we get that real pounding bounce riff and Jonathan Davis giving us a full-throated bellow on the refrain. It’s the opening track of Requiem, so it’s good to know that Korn are kicking things off with a bang on this one.
