Video: Gojira and Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe Play “Adoration for None” Live for the First Time

Published on:

In 2008, French experimental metallers Gojira dropped The Way of All Flesh, a sonic masterpiece that’s about as perfect a metal album as one can find, which quickly and without question landed a slot on our list of the 21 greatest metal albums since the turn of the millennium. Now, the band have given a track from that album, “Adoration for None” featuring Lamb of God‘s Randy Blythe, its live debut — and Randy joined them onstage to perform it.

The performance went down at Knotfest Iowa, where Gojira were performing. Randy took the stage and poured his heart out about the band, recounting the story of how they brought him out to their hometown to record the track.

“They took me to their beautiful town, they put me up, we had a wonderful time together, we wrote and recorded this song together — it’s never been played live before, ever,” says Randy in the footage below. “They flew me to France, we recorded this thing, and now for the first time ever, we’re bringing it home here.”
