Trailer: ‘The Book of Boba Fett’ Celebrates Every Metalhead’s Favorite ‘Star Wars’ Character

Published on:

Let’s face it: metalheads dig Star Wars. Whether you love or hate George Lucas’ sprawling vision of space wizards laser-docking in the future-past, there’s no denying that the series’ epic scope and militant take on sci-fi and fantasy has gripped the minds of heavy metal fans the world over, so much so that it might even be fair to say that heavy metal would look and sound entirely different if the original trilogy had never come out. Now, the first trailer for Disney’s new Star Wars series The Book of Boba Fett has been released, and it’s obvious that the company wants to go all-in on the galaxy’s most beloved bounty hunter.

As you’ll see in the footage below, The Book of Boba Fett picks up where the last season of The Mandalorian left off, with Boba Fett taking over the throne of his former employer Jabba The Hutt. However, the show quickly explains that it’s trying to expand Boba Fett’s role within the Star Wars universe, as he intends to run the giant worm’s criminal empire with respect rather than fear. As such, it looks like there’s going to be a lot more of Boba Fett fighting like a warrior and inspiring those around him than just him icing various Bib Fortuna-looking-ass motherfuckers over the course of the season. Whether this will turn the gruff-voiced criminal psychopath into an anti-hero or a chump, we’ll just have to wait and see. But so far, it looks pretty damn cool, you have to admit.
