Rammstein’s Richard Kruspe: New Album Is “Expected to Be Released Next Year Before the Tour”

Last year, the world learned that German industrial metallers Rammstein had recorded a follow-up to 2019’s self-titled album in quarantine. Earlier this year, it was revealed that the record was at least finished enough that a French astronaut was able to hear the first single while in space. Now, guitarist Richard Kruspe has revealed the bands have a tentative timeline as to when Rammstein’s new release might reach terran eardrums.

As reported by Kerrang!, Kruspe spoke to 24 Hours World News, and told them,” The album is expected to be released next year before the tour.”

We assume Rammstein means their European tour, which kicks off in mid-to-late May, in which case fans have a four-month window or so during which to expect a new Rammstein release. That said, with an album this big, one would’ve be surprised if the schedule were revised so that Kruspe means their fall North American tour, which would give the band more time to refine and promote the record.
