It’s safe to say that Colson “Machine Gun Kelly” Baker is going to need to pick and choose which rock festivals he plays at from now on.

Earlier this year, the rapper-turned-pop-punker took a moment during his Riot Fest set to try and diss Slipknot for being “50 years old, wearing a weird mask onstage” (to his credit, Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor ripped on him in an interview, so he considered it due payback).

This prompted Corey Taylor to post e-mails proving he turned down a chance to be on MGK’s pop-punk album Tickets to my Downfallwhich in turn inspired Baker to tweet that Taylor’s verse was terrible.

Now, in a repeat of his Louder Than Life set at which he was booed, Machine Gun Kelly came up against backlash during his Aftershock Festival performance — only this time, it got a little more physical, with the pop-punk newcomer getting all manner of shit tossed at him.

When Machine Gun Kelly first took the stage at Aftershock, he was met with more boos and middle fingers. The rapper then claimed he had questioned whether or not he should even come to the show, saying:

“This morning I was like, ‘Do we get on the plane and go to this?’…I was sitting there thinking about the last festival we did where this 10-year-old got her poster ripped up just for liking me…I’m doing this show for her and everyone who came to see us.”

Of course, then Baker decided to get out into the crowd — and immediately became a target for anyone holding something they weren’t worried about losing. Hey, the dude doesn’t seem all that frazzled by having crap thrown at him, so all’s well that ends well, we guess.
