Here’s the ‘Radio Disney Version’ of Slipknot’s “Wait and Bleed” That Got Banned from YouTube

When pearl-clutchers and Bible-bashers rail against metal, they always use kids as their shield. Think of the children! cry those who are for some reason offended by shirtless dudes running around in a circle. What is this teaching our kids? Maybe this is why one YouTuber decided to create a ‘Radio Disney version’ of Slipknot’s massive single “Wait and Bleed” — but even that got banned from YouTube!

You might know YouTuber Andy Rehfeldt for his various mash-ups, new takes, and distortions of songs — for example, Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” as a death metal track, or Van Halen’s “Jump” in a minor key. About eight years ago, Andy decided to create a Disney-fied version of “Wait and Bleed,” with Corey Taylor singing like the Wiggles and the band playing a lot of adorable bink-bonk sounds to the excitement of a massive crowd.

However, at the original link, there’s now a video of Andy explaining that his version of the song got taken down recently. Why, exactly, we don’t know — could be that Andy used footage from Slipknot’s Disasterpieces DVD and YouTube said it wasn’t allowed. Or it could be that the band got salty about being portrayed in a such a goofy light. Or, perhaps most likely, it could be that Disney didn’t like being associated with Corey Taylor yelling, “Get your fucking hands in the air!”

“This old video that got banned after being on YouTube for maybe eight years or something,” says Andy. As the video starts playing in the background, he covers it up with his hands, saying, “Uh-oh, better not show you that!”

Thankfully, another YouTuber recorded the video and uploaded it so that fans around the world can enjoy this parody. Let’s hope this version doesn’t get taken down as well:
