Given the massive success of their 2019 album Fear Inoculum, one could forgive Tool for taking a quiet moment afterwards to cool their heels (also there was a global pandemic). But now, the metal alchemists have announced their formal return to the road, with a touring schedule that kicks off January 2022 in Oregon — and ends in May, in Budapest.

The U.S. leg of Tool’s upcoming tour plans goes from January to March. Then, in April, the band kick off their European and UK dates, which take them from then though the middle of May. Joining them on the tour will be Blonde Redheads and The Acid Helps.

“It is with great pleasure I get to announce our return to the road,” says drummer Danny Carey. “These past 18 months have been trying, to say the least, but from great trials come great lessons and great rewards. We are genuinely looking forward to sharing them with you.”
