Disturbing news today, as a vendor at this past weekend’s Louder Than Life Festival was apparently found dead on the festival grounds after an overdose.

According to Louisville, Kentucky’s WDRB, and reported by Loudwire, Nicholaus Davis was discovered unresponsive early Friday morning by a staff member.  EMS confirmed the death was an apparent overdose, according to Louder than Life producers Danny Wimmer Presents.

Nicholaus was 40 years old. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office says they are still waiting on toxicology reports to determine what the deceased overdosed on.

Danny Wimmer Presents issued the following statement on the tragedy: “The well-being of our festival goers, staff, vendors, volunteers and artists is our primary concern, and we work diligently to ensure the safest event possible. Overnight, a member of our team discovered an unresponsive contract vendor in a working zone. EMS was dispatched immediately and confirmed the death as an apparent overdose. Our deepest condolences, thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends.”
