Earlier this month, it was revealed that despite being vaccinated, Korn frontman Jonathan Davis had tested positive for COVID-19. This resulted in the band rescheduling several tour dates and outright canceling others. Now, it appears that Davis is still out on tour and performing live, but with the help of a throne so as not to over-exert himself.
As reported by The PRP, Davis made his live return in Tinley Park, IL this past Friday, August 27th. However, the singer had a throne onstage that allowed him to catch his breath between bouts of singing.
In a video on his Instagram, Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch explained, “Jonathan Davis is still struggling with the COVID after-effects. He’s physically weak and having a mental battle. And any type of love, light and energy you can throw at him—prayers, all of it. We have shows coming up, so all of you guys, check the dates. Whatever show you’re going to, throw him some love and energy, man — he needs you more than ever.”
