Korn Canceled Their Scranton Show After A Positive COVID Test Within The Band’s Camp

Lately, many public figures have reported contracting COVID-19 despite being vaccinated against it. This is because the vaccine prevents the virus from making its recipients deathly ill, not from contracting it entirely; people can still spread COVID even if they’ve been vaccinated. Now, a member of Korn‘s crew has apparently tested positive for the virus, resulting in the cancelation of their Scranton, PA show this weekend.

“Unfortunately, there has been a confirmed COVID-19 case within the Korn camp,” said the band in a public statement this weekend. “The safety of our artists, crew, venue staff, and fans are our top priority, so we must postpone the show tonight.

“We’re deeply sorry for this unfortunate last minute news, but please hold on to your tickets while we work to get your rescheduled date sorted ASAP with Live Nation and The Pavilion at Montage Mountain. Thank you for your understanding, and stay safe out there. We’ll be back soon.”

Look, if you don’t want to get the shot because you think the dream police are going to steal your Christmas morning memories, that’s your prerogative. But two things: first, even if you can contract and spread the virus post-vaccination, the shot keeps COVID’s most deadly effects from taking hold (Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson could’ve sworn he would’ve died without it). Second, the more people who test positive within artists’ camps, the more tours are going to get canceled, so if you don’t get the shot, at least have the courtesy to wear a mask. Also, stop using the word ‘sheeple.’ You sound like an extra on South Park.

Anyway, catch Korn (hopefully) at one of the band’s upcoming dates with Staind.
