Volbeat Announce Fall U.S. Headlining Dates with Municipal Waste, The Hu, and Twin Temple

Last we heard from Danish metal-billies Volbeat was when they dropped two new tracks to ring in summer of 2021. Now, the band have announced a series of U.S. headlining dates, with a diverse collection of openers.

Joining the band for their American shows will be thrash diehards Municipal Waste, Mongolian folk metallers The Hu, and satanic doo-wop duo Twin Temple. The shows kick off at the end of September and jump around the country, ostensibly to match Volbeat’s festival schedule. Tickets go on sale this Friday, July 23rd, at 10am local time, with Volbeat’s Rebels & Angels Fan Club getting a presale starting this Wednesday, July 21st.

Catch one hell of a weird show at one of the dates below:

9/24 – Atlanta, GA at Tabernacle (w/ Twin Temple)
9/26 – Oklahoma City, OK at The Criterion (w/ Twin Temple)
9/28 – San Antonio, TX at Sunken Garden Amphitheater (w/ Twin Temple & The Hu)
9/29 – Lubbock, TX at Lonestar Amphitheater (w/ Twin Temple & The Hu)
10/2 – San Diego, CA at The Observatory North Park (w/ Twin Temple & Municipal Waste)
10/6 – Los Angeles, CA at Hollywood Palladium (w/ Municipal Waste)
10/9 – Paso Robles, CA at Vina Robles Amphitheatre (w/ Twin Temple)
10/10 – Oakland, CA at The Fox Theater (w/ Twin Temple)

The touring news comes after the release of Volbeat’s two new singles, “Wait A Minute My Girl” and “Dagen Før.” The songs were released at the beginning of last month, as a kickoff to summer of sorts.

“As the weather begins to warm and the days get longer in many parts of the world, we wanted to share two songs that we wrote and recorded over these long, difficult fifteen months that have the vibe and feel of Summer,” said the band at the time. “We’re beyond thankful that even during a lockdown our good friends Doug, Ray and Mia Maja were able to put the pedal to the metal with us on ‘Wait a Minute My Girl,’ and we’re absolutely thrilled that Stine Bramsen, who we’ve known and admired for a long time, was willing to lend her incredible talents to ‘Dagen Før.’

“We hope you enjoy this double-barreled blast of Summer tunes as much as we enjoyed creating them, and we can’t wait for you to hear what else we have in store for you. The Fall always brings the thunder and lightning…”
