When one thinks of GWAR, they think of metal that isn’t taken too seriously. Not that GWAR’s music doesn’t rule, only that to experience it live is to have some giant alien bust a nut in your face while playing a song about eating hot fart. But to honor the 30th anniversary of their infamous album Scumdogs of the Universe, GWAR have put together an epic tour — and their openers are pretty much the most serious bands around.

Opening up for GWAR on their 30th anniversary trek will be NOLA sludge crew Eyehategod, British grind legends Napalm Death, and New York hardcore bruisers Madball. The tour will also feature GWAR playing Scumdogs… in its entirety. Pre-sales start tomorrow June 17th and the general on-sale is this Friday June 18th.

“We’ve been saving it up, and we are ready to explode all over the face of this nation with a dazzling flood of chaotic shock rock load,” says lead ‘throat thing’ The Berserker Blóthar. “But don’t even try to come to a show on this tour unless you are unvaccinated, covid positive and willing to submit to an enthusiastic rectal temperature check at the hands of our degenerate road crew.”
