Chicken After Midnight: Judas Priest’s Rob Halford Is Officially a Kentucky Colonel

We’re huge fans of Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford. Whether he’s urging fans to get vaccinated or trying to seduce Paul Di’Anno, Rob’s good-natured attitude always makes us smile (to the point where we wonder if he might be Santa Claus). Now, it appears that Rob has something else weird and endearing to lift him up in our esteem: he’s officially a Kentucky colonel.

As reported by Loudwire, Halford took to his Instagram to show off a document signed by Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear and Secretary of State Michael Adams, which confers the honor of Kentucky Colonel “with all the rights, privileges and responsibilities thereunto appertaining” to the musician.

“Thank you governor and the people’s of Kentucky a great honour and organisation that’s making good things happen,” wrote Halford in the caption of the post.

Congrats to Halford on this incredible honor! We’ll have a 15-piece bucket with mashed potatoes and gravy, please.
