Mazel tov to these crazy kids! We hope they have beautiful, hard-partying children.

If you get a chance, definitely listen to “I’m In Heaven.” What’s most interesting about the song is that it incorporates the elements that made songs like “Party Hard” and “She Is Beautiful” into what’s otherwise a really gnarly stoner rock track. There are a lot of reptilian synths and throbbing guitar accents present on the song, but they all seem to surround this solidly mid-paced wall of sound. The video, meanwhile, has a really weird, tortured feeling to it, confronting issues of identity — and, if you think about it, examining the longstanding conspiracy theory that the current Andrew W.K. is actually the second one, having been replaced at some point in his career.

This quote from director Phem C. Palmer doesn’t help matters much in that respect: “A secret is no longer a secret if it isn’t being kept, and this is how we approached the spirit of meaning as it applies to the non-diegetic sound images in the ‘I’m In Heaven’ video.”
