While the future of touring is beginning to look good, it’s worth acknowledging that we still have a ways to go. While the COVID vaccine roll-out means that a greater herd immunity is being created around the globe, it also means that until everyone is vaccinated, we can never be fully safe. Now, two rock giants who made tour plans for 2021 in the hopes that everything would be better by now — Judas Priest and Guns N’ Roses, respectively — have been forced to reschedule their 2021 European dates.
“Unfortunately due to ongoing COVID-19 vaccine issues in Europe we have been advised that our 2021 dates will not be able to take place as planned,” said Judas Priest in a statement, adding, “all dates have been rescheduled to 2022 as detailed here – all tickets will remain valid for the new dates – further dates will be announced shortly…However we are pleased to confirm our UK headline show at Bloodstock Open Air 2021 is still scheduled for this coming August where we look forward to celebrating 50 years of Judas Priest and 20 years of Bloodstock.”
