Life sucks. It’s okay, you can admit it. For all the positivity that TED Talk-obsessed “influencers” push on us via Instagram posts about taking deep breaths and feeding the right wolf, it’s safe to say that being alive is mostly a bum deal, and God owes us some money for being stuck with a heartbeat and heating bill. But today is Friday, and there’s a video of Spongebob Squarepants dancing to Slipknot‘s “Wait and Bleed.” So maybe it’s not all bad.

The video of Spongebob doing his wiggly little dance to Slipknot’s first huge single was created by YouTuber Solway seemingly in an attempt to shake off the blues of having to exist. There are two versions of the video — on in which Spongebob does an extended dance to the track, and one in which we get to see Squidward imitating him. Does this change anything about our corrupt society or the thousand natural shocks the flesh is heir to? It does not, no. But it’s a solid way to pass a few minutes you’d otherwise spend masturbating and/or dreaming of the sweet embrace of the grave.

Behold Spongebob in all his nu-metal glory below:

If this video isn’t enough to make you cling to this wretched life and all it stupid window dressing, you can also catch Slipknot in Europe later this year at one of the following dates:
