Ever since the gigantic success of 2019’s We Are Not Your Kind, there have been rumblings of new Slipknot music already in the works, or at least big happenings in the Slipknot camp. First, Clown hinted back in November that the band were already working on new material. Then later that month, Corey Taylor said that the Iowan nine-piece were kinda-sorta-maybe considering putting out a new record in the next year. Now, in a new interview, Corey has teased that something big will be revealed to the public in the next month — though what that is, he can’t entirely say.
Speaking to Kerrang Radio, the vocalist said, “There’s some stuff brewing that I can’t talk about, but it’s massive. I can say this: you will hear about it probably in the next month or so, let’s put it that way.”
There’s a chance, Corey intimated, that a huge world tour might be what we’re waiting for, saying, “Slipknot is booked to tour America end of September. We are booked to go out. And we haven’t heard anything yet that it’s different. And we talk to [concert promotion company] Live Nation every week. We’re up to date on all of the different restrictions, not only in the [United] States, but federally. We’re obviously keeping an eye on everything and kind of going from there.”
