The past couple of years have been good to wonky alt-metal act Primus. Last year, the band took an unexpected trip around the U.S. as part of Slayer’s last tour. Now, Les Claypool and Co. have announced a new livestreaming event in order to add some more palatable weirdness to the hellscape of 2020.
Primus will stream ‘Alive From Pachyderm Station, a live concert event, on Friday, December 11th. The performance will be streamed from Claypool’s Claypool Cellars winery in Sebastopol, California, at 9pm EST/6pm PST. The performance will be available to watch for 72 hours after being posted, so fans only have a brief window in which to experience the dairy deluge of Primus.
“Strange, eclectically wonderful things tend to happen when the three of us get in a room together with our instruments,” says Les Claypool of the streaming event. “This will be an intimate and casual performance between three longtime friends as opposed to an elaborate ‘show.’ Primus in the raw.”
Tickets and merch for the event are available for purchase now. In the meantime, check out a trailer for the show below:
Primus aren’t the only band ringing in the holiday season with an insane livestream. This December, Michigan melodeath crew The Black Dahlia Murder and the dudes at Night Shift Merch will host Yule ‘Em All, a ‘holiday variety extravaganza.’ According to the official release, the show will be “a holiday style variety special featuring performances by The Black Dahlia Murder playing the classics as well as songs off the new album Verminous, variety segments, special guests & more.”
“We in The Black Dahlia Murder have been hard at work assembling what will surely be the most major holiday event since Tickle Me Elmo dropped,” says frontman Trevor Strnad. “Live music from albums new and old, skits, cartoons, Ham Sanitizer…it’s all here and waiting for your eager bloodshot eyeballs to blissfully consume! Clear your calendars for Dec 18!!! You won’t want to miss it!”
Yule ‘Em All goes down Friday, December 18th, at 7:00pm EST. Tickets for the event, as well as Black Dahlia holiday merch bundles, are available for purchase.
