Last we heard from hard rock tour de force Bad Wolves was in July, when they released a powerful cover of Linkin Park’s “Crawling” (besides guitarist Doc Coyle co-hosting our weekly heavy metal talk show Last Words, of course). Now, the band have released a new music video for their track “Learn To Walk Again,” including footage from the upcoming film The Retaliators, which features members of the band.
As you’ll see in the video below, Bad Wolves’ side of the video is pretty much performance footage, though it looks like they might have some leak in their radiator, because the room is so full of steam that it’s hard to see any member of the band. Meanwhile, the footage from The Retaliators suggests that the film is a Taken- or Death Wish-style revenge story where a man is forced to betray his values in order to find and take down the people who killed his daughter (daughter? Wife? He looks young for a dad). That said, there’s also an Evil Dead-looking zombie-like woman at one point, so either these villains are doing advanced impetigo experiments, or there’s a supernatural element to the film.
“This song is about changing your life,” says frontman Tommy Vext. “All of us in the band and other people I am close to were going through a lot of changes when we wrote it. We had been going through these trials and tribulations over the last couple of years and the future was unknown. Sometimes you need to be brought to your knees and be willing to try anything to find your way to where you need to be. ‘Learn To Walk Again‘ isn’t my story, it is OUR story.”
