Watch Members of Mastodon, Baroness, Darkest Hour and More Cover Ozzy’s “Over The Mountain”

Published on:

Last we left the long-legged beasties from  Two Minutes to Late Night, they were getting their WHOAs on with a cover of Samhain and The Misfits’ mid-paced holiday classic “Halloween II.” Now, in the next installment of their spooky-season cover series, the crew have taken a peek inside the scariest haunted house rock music has ever known: Ozzy Osbourne’s brain!

This time around, the Two live crew have brought together a team of metal’s spookiest to perform a rousing cover of the PoD’s 1981 hit “Over the Mountain.” And the team they’ve brought together is an impressive who’s-who of stoner metal royalty: vocals by Mastodon‘s Brann Dailor (doing, it must be noted, a pretty spot-on Ozzy), bass by Kvelertak‘s Marvin Nygaard, guitar by Darkest Hour‘s Mike Schleibaum and Two Minutes‘ Gwarsenio Hall, and drums by Baroness‘ Sebastian Thomson. The cover is exceptional, with plenty of purple light and cheap Halloween costumes providing the spoopiest atmosphere around.
