Tomorrow’s Halloween, which means a few things: 1. Getting your candy chutes constructed to safely distribute Milky Ways to trick-or-treaters in a time of social distancing; 2. horror movie marathon that spills over into the wee hours of November 1; and, most importantly, 3. another live stream event from Pennsylvania hardcore bruisers Code Orange. After embarking into the landscape of live streams back in March with their record release show for Underneath, the band has continued to evolve their online live performances, as drummer/vocalist Jami Morgan told The Pit on our most recent edition of Last Words, blending live performance with interesting visuals like their horror-movie themed live stream back in June. And they’ve got another one lined up for Halloween.Tomorrow, October 31, starting at 4 p.m. Eastern time, Code Orange will kick off “Back Inside the Glass,” their latest live stream event featuring a live set from the band as part of an “all-immersive environmental experience.” Joining them this time around are three more of the best hardcore bands in the game right now: Jesus Piece, Year of the Knife, and Machine Girl.Morgan said earlier this month in a press release, “We are very excited to present the next chapter of the Code Orange live streaming experiment. We are hoping to deliver something on a whole new level with ‘Back Inside the Glass’ and are glad to have our brothers and sisters in Jesus Piece, Year Of The Knife, and Machine Girl along with us.”
Luis Aponte of Jesus Piece added, “Code Orange made themselves the innovators of this. If we were going to do a livestream, we’re going to do it right.”
“Back Inside the Glass” will also include a VIP fan experience through which you can digitally project yourself inside the venue while the band is performing, and there will also be a preshow, “Mudbangers Ball (Vol. 2)”, hosted by Riki Rachtman at 3 p.m. Eastern. Tickets for Code Orange’s “Back Inside the Glass” Halloween live stream can be found here. Check out the flyer for the show below.
