This year is the 10th anniversary of Live in Philly, the landmark live album from Pennsylvania hard rock heavyweights Halestorm, which saw the group take a much-deserved victory lap following the breakaway success of their 2009 self-titled debut album. It’s being reissued in December via Run Out Groove, on clear and black mixed color vinyl with a gatefold jacket in a limited edition of 5,000 copies. To celebrate the record’s anniversary, Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale and Joe Hottinger join The Pit today for an exclusive interview, conducted by LAST WORDS host Katy Irizarry. They’ll be chatting with us about the legacy of their fan-favorite live album, and the excitement behind the new reissue. Join us today @ 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. to catch the full conversation with Lzzy and Joe.

“10 years ago was the beginning of a new lifetime,” said the band in a statement. “It was a time of discovering who we were, not just to ourselves…but who we were to the world. When I listen to this live album, I still remember the feeling of beautiful panic before hitting the stage at the TLA, a place where I had experienced the live shows of many of my idols as a young Pennsylvania girl. Most of these songs were relatively new and some we were performing live for the first time. I can hear the growling hunger of the four of us. We were ravenous and hell bent on proving ourselves on a new level. This show was a step forward toward a future unknown…the rest is history.”

The band has had a momentous decade since then, winning a Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance Grammy in 2013 and sharing stages all over the world with acts such as Alice Cooper and Guns ‘n’ Roses.

Tune in at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT to watch the interview below or over at The Pit’s Facebook page.

Live in Philly will be released on December 11. Preorder your copy now!
