Heavy metal godfather Ozzy Osbourne has had a mixed two years. On the one hand, 2019 saw him release a new solo album, the critically-acclaimed Ordinary Man. On the other, he’s had to repeatedly postpone tours, and finally opened up to the public about being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. But now, it looks like there might be a return to form on the horizon, as Sharon Osbourne has revealed that Ozzy will tour in 2022.

In a new interview with Planet Rock Radio, Sharon discussed some of the struggles Ozzy has faced with his recent Parkinson’s diagnosis.

“It kind of set him back but he’s back to where he was before the pandemic,” she says. “Since he’s been back working with the physio and every day I see an improvement, but it’s hard for Ozzy because you don’t see yourself as you really are. He’s getting there, he is. He will be back and be on that stage!”

Sharon then confirmed that Ozzy already has touring plans for 2022.

“Ozzy’s tour has been rebooked,” said the Prince of Darkness’ wife and longtime  manager. “The British tour, he’ll be back in (20)22. You know, we just carry on as normal. We’ve been doing loads of TV shows here and you’ve got to just keep going until Ozzy can go back live. He’s in the studio right now doing a new album!”

“We’re going to do a movie of Ozzy’s life story and he’s got to do the soundtrack to that… so I’ll keep him busy, let’s put it that way!”

According to Sharon, 2022 has become the goal year, and booking shows for then is crazy — but it’s worth it due to how exciting the sudden rush of concerts will be for fans.

“Well that’s the thing right now — bo, honestly, you got it right because everybody’s booking their tours again for like 2022, and to find availabilities right now, it’s crazy! Agents and facilities are going nuts, trying to get everybody back. It will be exciting. I think it will be a very exciting time when bands do go back and it’ll be joyous.”

Keep your eyes peeled for new Ozzy live dates in the near future!
