The latest entry in Metallica‘s continuing “Metallica Mondays” concert series is a big one. The series has seen the band digging up pro-shot footage of shows from across their career and broadcasting it on the group’s YouTube channel and Facebook page, and has been a great way for homebound fans to pass two-plus hours the social-distancing restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic. This week, the thrash OGs flashed back to June 6th, 2006, when they celebrated the 20th anniversary of their 1986 magnum opus Master of Puppets at PWaldbühne in Berlin, Germany — by playing the album in its entirety. Watch the performance and check out the set list below.

Last night’s broadcast marked the 16th installment of the “Metallica Mondays” series. Standout gigs from the previous 15 broadcasts include the band’s Hardwired… To Self-Destruct release show at the House of Vans in London in 2016, their full performance of the “Black Album” at Pannonia Fields II in Nickelsdorf, Austria, in 1991, a throwback show at The Metro in Chicago, Illinois, all the way back in 1983, and a rain-drenched set at Etihad Stadium in Manchester, England, in 2019.

In other Metallica news, the band recently announced the release of S&M2 as a live album and documentary across wide array of formats, including 4LP vinyl, 2CD, DVD and Blu-ray versions, plus limited-edition color vinyl 4LP + 2CD + Blu-ray Deluxe Box featuring sheet music, guitar picks, poster and more, and a exclusive Super Deluxe Box, limited to 500 copies, each featuring actual sheet music used by the Symphony during the shows and hand-signed by all four band members (in addition to including everything in the Deluxe Box). It’s all set for release on August 28th.
