Grey Daze — the late, great Chester Bennington’s first band prior to his Linkin Park days — have concluded their eight-part video series that takes fans behind the scenes of making the group’s forthcoming album Amends. You can watch part eight below.

This final video has dropped in preparation of fans hosting a global full day of listening parties for the 11-song record. Originally scheduled to drop on April 10th, the Phoenix-based band delayed the release to June 26th due to the rapidly shifting situation with COVID-19.

However, as a thank you to fans, the band and Loma Vista Recordings decided to give supporters an opportunity to hear Amends tomorrow, the album’s original release date, from 7 to 9 pm local time (because of the global nature of the event, listeners can begin to hear the release as of 12 am Pacific on April 10th).

The series of global listening parties hosted by fans for fans, will be streamed online from 17 different countries across 11 different time zones in 11 languages and across various platforms (including Facebook, Twitch, Twitter and YouTube). Additional information can be found here.

Amends is the fulfillment of a planned Grey Daze reunion that Bennington had announced prior to his untimely passing. The remaining band members — drummer Sean Dowdell, bassist Mace Beyers and guitarist Cristin Davis — along with Chester’s widow Talinda Bennington and his parents, made it their mission to see the project through with assistance from Tom Whalley, the founder of Loma Vista Recordings and former Warner Bros. Records Chairman during Linkin Park’s tenure at the label.

Dowdell, Beyers and Davis selected the tracks from the band’s mid-’90s, but largely unknown, catalog. They re-recorded the music in 2019 to accompany Bennington’s re-mastered vocals. Produced by Jay Baumgardner, several musicians make guest appearances on the album — including Korn’s Brian “Head” Welch and James “Munky” Shaffer, Helmet’s Page Hamilton, Jaime Bennington, Breaking Benjamin’s Jasen Rauch, P.O.D.’s Marcos Curiel and more.
