Watch Lacuna Coil’s High-Octane New “Save Me” Live Video

Italian alt-metal stalwarts Lacuna Coil are still riding high on the 2019 release of their ninth full-length, Black Anima, which saw them lean into the heavier inclinations of their gothic sound. In May, the group will kick off a big North American tour with cello-rock masters Apocalyptica, and today (March 11th), ahead of those dates, singer Cristina Scabbia and Co. have shared the intense new official live video for album standout “Save Me,” which was originally released as a single last October. A powerhouse track, “Save Me” presents Scabbia’s emotional take on lyrics that touch on pain and personal grief, including the experience of losing both of her parents.

The song is about “basically screaming for help,” Scabbia told Billboard last year, “but like, a silent scream, because a lot of people are just afraid to talk about their problems. They like better to keep things to themselves and see if they can find a solution without any help, which can be foolish.”
