Late last year, Slipknot announced its first-ever cruise event, Knotfest at Sea, which only adds to how giant 2020 will be for the group.
What is promised to be (according to the band), “a voyage that will awaken your darkest senses,” the cruise will set sail from August 10th to August 14th from Barcelona, with Slipknot to play not one but two live performances.
Today, they have revealed a partial lineup and special activities for Knotfest at Sea.
Maggots will be able to see performances by Anthrax, Behemoth, DevilDriver, Sevendust, Skindred, Ho99o9, Higher Power, Sleep Token and more.
With the announcement, Behemoth frontman Nergal says, “Maggots and Legions! Our momentous tour with Slipknot comes to an end in a few days and it’s been our biggest in Europe to date! But I’m beyond excited that our comradeship with Slipknot ain’t over yet… for we’re teaming up with them again for Knotfest at Sea! We look forward to feasting again this summer!”
Additionally, Devildriver singer Dez Fafara says, “DevilDriver is extremely honored to be asked to play the first Knotfest at Sea cruise! We cannot wait to sail the high seas together with Slipknot and this killer lineup of bands. So raise the skull and crossbones and prepare for a party at sea.”
There will be an array of unique on-board experiences including: a live Q&A with members of Slipknot, Sid DJ/MC set, Slipknot Whiskey Tasting and Discussion with Clown, signing with Mick Thomson, drum workshop with Jay Weinberg, bass clinic with VMan and 20 years of Slipknot memorabilia showcased throughout the ship.
