New England-based punishing metal group The Acacia Strain have surprised dropped a brand new 7-inch, D, through Rise Records.

It of course includes two pummeling, yet atmospheric tracks (both of which you can hear below) that you have come to know and love the band for — the first being “Feed a Pigeon, Breed a Rat” and the second “Seeing God,” which features madman Aaron Heard of Jesus Piece and Nothing fame.

Of Heard’s guest appearance The Acacia Strain’s bruising frontman Vincent Bennett said, “I’ve been meaning to get Aaron on a track for a while now, and his part in this song is perfect. This song is the beginning of our slow descent into madness. We all see our own god eventually.”

You can pick up a copy of D here.
