The legendary Ice-T-fronted rap-metal unit Body Count are back with another wicked, in-your-face single from their upcoming album, Carnivore.
“Bum-Rush,” which you can check out below along with its music video is, according to the iconic hip-hop and metal frontman, “another fast moving Body Count track continuing my attempt to wake people up.”
The clip, which was filmed in both New York and Los Angeles, was produced and directed by Jay Rodriguez for Itchy House Films. Rodriguez has crafted videos for Wiz Khalifa, DJ Khaled and Justine Skye.
Carnivore, which is due March 6 via Century Media Records (you can pre-order it here), also has equally intense cover art. Created by Polish artist Zbigniew M. Bielak, who is known for his work for Ghost, Mayhem and Deicide, features dripping, blood-red linework into a gorgeously rendered and detailed map of Los Angeles inside the torso and mouth of a snarling character — paying tribute to both Body Count’s home turf and their unmistakably biting sound.
Body Count will have two New York City dates centered around album release activities before hitting the road in Europe for a series of summer festival and headlining gigs, kicking off June 19th at France’s massive open-air event Hellfest. See below for a list of confirmed dates, and stay tuned for more from rap-metal’s true OGs.
