Hear Trivium’s Epic New Song “Catastrophist”

Trivium have announced their highly anticipated new album, What the Dead Men Say, which is due for release April 24th via Roadrunner Records. The follow-up to 2017’s The Sin and the Sentence and the Florida-based group’s ninth full-length overall, the 10-track LP is available for pre-order here. To give fans a taste of what’s to come, the quartet — singer-guitarist Matt Heafy, guitarist Corey Beaulieu, bassist Paolo Gregoletto and drummer Alex Bent — have offered up the lead single off the album, Catastrophist,” along with its hard-hitting music video. Watch and listen below.

What the Dead Men Say is everything that is Trivium,” Heafy commented. “On this album, one can hear the proper ingredients of past, present, and future Trivium. The Trivium sound is having everything the band does — on one album.”

Beaulieu added, “We wanted to build on the foundation that we established with the last album. The record has all the elements that are Trivium — along with all of us wanting to keep pushing ourselves creatively. This led to a highly-inspired and fast-paced writing and recording process that really captures the energy of the band.”

See the cover art and track listing below. Trivium will spent much of the year out on the road supporting the record — see their upcoming dates with Megadeth and Lamb of God below.
