Hear Testament’s New Thrash Ripper “Night of the Witch”

Grizzled San Francisco metal stalwarts Testament are gearing up to unleash their highly anticipated new album Titans of Creation, due April 3rd via Nuclear Blast. Ahead of the big release date, they’ve offered up the LP’s lead single, the blistering mosh-starter “Night of the Witch” — which you can stream via YouTube below. The 12-track follow-up to 2016’s Brotherhood of the Snake, the band’s latest full-length was recorded with Juan Urteaga and mixed by esteemed producer and current Judas Priest touring guitarist Andy Sneap. Titans of Creation’s striking cover painting was created by artist Eliran Kantor, who has also worked with Iced Earth, Sodom, Soulfly and many other metallurgic heavyweights. See the cover art and full track listing below.

“It has been months since the final mixing of Titans of Creation and we are eager for fans to hear it,” singer Chuck Billy commented. “We feel that we put a lot into this record and at the end of the day it is a Testament record that stands on its own. We are very proud of Titans of Creation.
“‘Night of the Witch’ uses old-school lyrics about witches chanting in the moonlight and casting spells. The beauty of this song is that I worked Eric’s vocals into the chorus. I wanted to incorporate him as he does Dragonlord and this song was a perfect match. It is a heavy song and a great way to introduce everyone to Titans of Creation.

Next month, Testament are set to hit the road with fellow Bay Area thrash veterans Exodus and Death Angel for the aptly named “The Bay Strikes Back 2020” European tour. Scroll on the itinerary.
