Leeds, England–based melodic hardcore powerhouse Higher Power are one of the most buzzed-about bands in the underground, with an infectious sound that evokes everyone from Deftones to Jane’s Addiction to Bad Brains while still maintaining the band’s own distinctive approach and personality. Led by brothers Jimmy and Alex Wizard, on vocals and guitar, respectively, the group is set to release their Roadrunner Records debut LP, 27 Miles Underwater, on January 24th, and ahead of that date, they’ve offered up today the third single off the album, the soaring, atmospheric “Lost in Static” along with its colorful music video directed by Callum Scott-Dyson. The song follows last year’s more aggressive “Seamless” and “Low Season.”
