2019 has been a banner year for Slipknot, with the release of the critically lauded We Are Not You Kind, controversial new masks, a lineup switch that has led to endless speculation, and a touring schedule that took them all across the world to spread the Iowan metal gospel. But don’t think for a second that the Maggot kings are about to rest on their laurels: To the contrary, the Nine are making headlines once more with the announcement that 2020 will see the band expand their traveling festival Knotfest into the United Kingdom when they take over the British town of Milton Keynes on August 27th.

Since launching the event in 2012, Slipknot have introduced Knotfest into five countries so far: the United States, Mexico (which, unfortunately, turned ugly at its 2019 incarnation), Japan, Colombia, and France with the inaugural Hellfest Meets Knotfest this past June. When the band bring their spectacular stage show and plenty of fantastic support acts with them to England, they’ll do so at The National Bowl in their first performance at the legendary venue since they appeared there during Ozzfest 2001.

No other performers have been announced thus far, but recent Knotfest events have hosted the likes of Behemoth, Evanescence, Rob Zombie, Amon Amarth, Powerwolf, Ministry, Sick of It All, Papa Roach, Suicidal Tendencies and many more on the lineups.

As for tickets, members of Slipknot’s official fan club, Outside the 9, will have early-bird access to grab them on December 19th at 10 a.m. GMT by logging on and receiving a passcode at outsidethe9.com. Stay tuned to find out about the full lineup and on-site activities when those are announced early next year.
