Soon-to-be-retired thrash titans Slayer brought their Final Campaign tour through New York City this past weekend, selling out Madison Square Garden and ripping through a devastating 20-song career-spanning set. PrimusMinistry and Philip H. Anselmo & the Illegals (who performed a special 30-minute “Vulgar Display of Pantera” set) opened the show, as they are all the stops on the run. But the night belonged to Slayer, who are set to take their final bows on November 30th at The Forum in Los Angeles. Of course, fans had their cell phones held high through much of the action, trying to capture what they could of the momentous event for posterity. See high-quality amateur video below, as well as the full set list and the remaining dates on the Final Campaign.
