See Tool’s Adam Jones Honor Dwight From ‘The Office’ With Stunning Halloween Costume

Published on:

Tool love nothing more than to mess around with their fans, so of course their Halloween night show at Milwaukee’s Fiserv Forum was the perfect opportunity to take on entire new personas as they delivered a 13-song set chock full of hits old and new alike. Singer Maynard James Keenan trotted out his current onstage persona, which references U.K. punk fashion and Batman enemy the Joker, while bassist Justin Chancellor concealed his head with a deeply unsettling giant baby mask.  The standout showing, however, came from guitarist Adam Jones, whose getup as Dwight Schrute from television comedy The Office was terrifyingly realistic. Created by a serious special FX master Landon Meier, Jones’ half mask could have convinced damn near anyone that Rainn Wilson himself was on that stage.

“My attempt to honor #DwightSchrute  at our sold out show in Milwaukee on this #Halloween eve,” Jones captioned an Instagram post featuring several stunning selfies. *Hope if @rainnwilson sees this post -he isn’t too terrified. Thank you Landon @hyperfleshdude for the mind boggling good job on this half mask …  btw it was really difficult to play 46&2 & stinkfist in this costume. Happy Halloween.”

See below for fan-shot footage of the “Stinkfist” performance, Jones’ post and the full set list from the show.
