In 2018, crossover thrash heroes Power Trip threw the Evil Beat, Vol. 1 festival in Dallas — their hometown — and it was a smash success. Today, October 10th, the band announced a follow-up event, dubbed fittingly The Return of the Evil Beat, set to go down at the South Side Ballroom in Dallas on January 11th, 2020. As you’d expect from a fest curated by Riley Gale and Co., it’ll feature an array of some the finest names in metal, punk, hardcore, post-punk and indie, including Carcass, Vio-Lence, Deafheaven, Razor, Sheer Mag, Drab Majesty, Prurient, Warthog, Torche, Wiccans, Red Death, True Widow, Red Death, Special Interest, Mil-Spec, Dress Code and, of course, Power Trip themselves. Tickets are on presale now using the code “evilbeat” and will hit general sale at 10 a.m. CST.
