U.K. post-hardcore crew Employed to Serve are one of the most exciting young bands around, as their blistering songs, such as the single “Force Fed,” amply testify. The group released their third album, Eternal Forward Motion, in May this year and are supporting it heavily with characteristically incendiary live shows. They have a slew of gigs in the U.K., Switzerland and Germany lined up through the end of the year (see the itinerary below). Ahead of those dates, we asked guitarist Sammy Urwin — who also plays in the highly touted metalcore outfit Renounced — to put together his dream supergroup, made of musicians, alive or dead.
DIMEBAG DARREL
On guitar, because I needn’t explain why.
RONNIE JAMES DIO
On vocals, because he’s the King of Metal — and rock & roll, I might add.
ROGER PATTERSON FROM ATHEIST
On bass, as the dude absolutely slayed and had incredible stage presence.
VINNIE PAUL
On drums, because he’s one of the most underrated metal drummers of all time and you can’t start a band with just one of the Abbott brothers!
