Scott Ian has raised his kid right! Revel Young Ian — the Anthrax guitarist’s eight-year-old son — recently showed off his hard-rocking skills by joined the Foo Fighters onstage at the Bourbon & Beyond festival in Louisville, Kentucky, this past Friday, September 20th. As reported by Blabbermouth, the elementary school student played guitar with Dave Grohl and Co. on their hit song “Everlong.”

“Proudest dad moment ever?,” Ian gushed on Instagram, where he shared video footage of the performance. “How about when your son gets to join his favorite band on stage to play Everlong in front of 40,000 people and NAILS IT! Thank you Dave, Taylor, Pat, Nate, Chris, Rami, Gus, Kerwin, Sean, Patrick, Simone and everyone else on the Foo crew for being the best!!! @foofighters @gusbrandt @pearlcaliforniacountry @bourbonandbeyond”

“He knows a lot of the stuff that he hears or sees in the house,” Ian told Horns Up Rocks back in 2014, noting that then-three-year-old Revel was a fan of Metallica, the Beatles and AC/DC. “But what’s really cool is that he actually recognizes and knows the difference between Bon Scott and Brian Johnson, which is pretty cool, I think, for an almost three-year-old. Anytime AC/DC is on, he’ll go, ‘That’s Bon singing.’ And then when it’s not Bon, he’ll say, ‘That’s not Bon singing.’ He knows. That’s pretty cool, I think.”
