See Korn Debut Three New Songs Live at Intimate Record Release Show

Published on:

On Friday, September 13th, nu-metal giants Korn released their badass new album The Nothing, an occasion they celebrated with a special, intimate live show at ShowBiz Studios in Los Angeles. The band was joined onstage by a suspension artist who performed throughout the entire set, inspired by the tortured figure depicted in the album’s cover art. The show was also unique and noteworthy because it featured the live debut of three The Nothing songs: “Can You Hear Me,” “Cold” and “Finally Free.” See fan-shot footage of those performances — as well as the full set list, and album track listing — below.

In addition to dropping their new album, Korn have a groundbreaking dramatized anthology podcast series, also titled “The Nothing,” coming in October. (Subscribe to it here.) Written and created by Adam Mason and Simon Boyes with Korn, it’s the first of its kind from a band. The six-part “The Nothing” series follows fictional journalist Matt Singer who travels to Wellden, Kansas, to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a teenage girl. Needless to say, things are not as peachy keen in the small town as they might seem on surface, and Singer soon finds himself over his head. Produced by Elizabeth Mason and directed by Adam Mason, “The Nothing” stars Keir O’Donnell (Wedding CrashersFargoLegion), Darri Ingolfsson (DexterBlack Antenna) and Mikayla S. Campbell.
