Three years after the release of their acclaimed fourth album, Stage Four, post-hardcore heroes Touché Amoré are back with a new song, the intense and incendiary “Deflector.” The single was recorded with producer Ross Robinson — who largely architected the nu-metal sound, helming such seminal albums as Korn’s self-titled debut and follow-up, Life Is Peachy, as well as landmark records by Slipknot, Sepultura and more — in a basement studio in Atwater Village, California.
“This time around, we need to take a chance with the unfamiliar,”singer Jeremy Bolm explained of the producer choice. “Someone who would take us out of our comfort zone. Enter Ross Robinson. A man who knows no comfort zone. I followed his career all through my youth to being a young adult. When we returned from our recent Midwest tour, we entered the studio to record a song with Ross and see if there was chemistry …”
In addition to its digital release, “Deflector” will be available via an exclusive 7-inch with previously released track “Green.” You can pre-order it now in olive green with white splatter via the band’s webstore. Touché Amoré will also have exclusive tour variants for sale this fall while they’re out on the road. See their upcoming itinerary below.
